Last Titanic Survivor, Millvina Dean, Dies at 97
By admin on Jun 1, 2009 in Social
The last Titanic survivor, 97-year old Millvina Dean, has died.
She also had the distinction of being the youngest passenger aboard the ill fated ship when she boarded it at age 8 weeks.
Ms. Dean had a third class ticket and was lifted into a lifeboat in a postal sack because she was so small.
Her later years were difficult because she had to sell her last Titanic mementos but the stars of the 1997 movie "Titanic" donated money for her living expenses when they heard of her plight.
