Japan Is World’s Oldest Country

A new U.S. Census Bureau report has Japan with the largest percentage of elderly population at 22 percent.

China is another country with a large elderly population that includes 106 million people over age 65.

Elderly populations are growing around the world and that includes developing countries as well as the industralized ones.

As the new healthcare bill is being debated (rather hurriedly, it seems) these numbers certainly carry a lot of weight with lawmakers.
