Cars That Can Park Themselves
By admin on Jan 1, 2009 in News
Cars that can park themselves are not new. I think Lexus has already developed this.
What's new is that cheaper cars will be available that can park themselves.
The young people over at Buzz Feed think this is a stupid idea from Ford.
I beg to differ with them. I have never really been able to parallel park. I'm not too proud to admit that.
So if Ford or any other car company can come up with self parking technology that's cheaper than Lexus, I'll probably be on board.
Could I make another suggestion?
How about a car that drives itself?

With the automakers fighting for their own stability and focusing on fuel efficiency, I hope they are not distracted from developing some of the additional technologies that could make cars easier for the elderly to drive. These technologies simply make cars safer for everyone, too. As my teenage son approaches the driving age, a self-parking car would sure be helpful!
