Social Security:Are Payments Shrinking?

social security payments, prescription drug plan, social security cutbacksSocial security payments may be shrinking, according to the trustees who oversee it.

That's because there will not be a cost of living adjustment for the next two years.

This is noteworthy, not only because it will affect our aging parents, but also because this has not happened since 1975.

Not only is it a complicated form of "prescription insurance" but it seems to be as confusing today as it was when it was first implemented.

The drug premiums many seniors pay automatically come from their social secuity.

At a time when everyone has been hit hard by the worst recession since the Depression, this is even more troubling.

Many seniors are not prepared for this problem.
