VA Colonoscopy Contamination Raise Infection Fears
By admin on Mar 24, 2009 in Health
If you have an aging parent who is a veteran he may be in danger of infection if he has had a recent colonoscopy.
It has been announced by Veteran Affairs that some equipment at VA facilities in South Florida, Tennessee, and Augusta Georgia was not cleansed properly.
Those veterans receiving colonoscopies may have been exposed to infection as a result.
Veterans in Murfreesboro, TN were notified and offered free tests to see if they have been infected.
One wonders how much contamination we ,or our aging parents, are coming in contact with when we receive healthcare.
This situation with our veterans has come to light publically, but how much gets through the system privately that we don’t know about?
It’s a chilling thought.
