Muscle atrophy is a debilitating problem for seniors. Now scientists may have unlocked the secret which can cause muscle to deteriorate.
They think muscular atrophy is caused by free radicals that bring on muscle cell death. Without controling these radicals the muscle cells may be defenseless as we age.
But a protective antioxidant (CuZn5OD) may be the key for keeping muscle cells healthy as we age.
