Hypoxic Reponse By Cells May Be New Fountain of Youth
By admin on Apr 21, 2009 in Health
Cells can often protect themselves when they don’t get enough oxygen because of a reaction called hypoxic response.
These findings are coming from studies of nematode worms.
These worms’ cells are also generally free of toxic proteins linked to aging in humans.
Is this the new Fountain of Youth?
Scientists also think there could be a link to how the hypoxic response relates to Alzheimer’s and Huntington’s diseases.
