Human Airbag May Save Elderly

The Japanese have invented a wearable portable human airbag that may protect the elderly from serious falls.

Working on the same concept as airbags in your car, the fall prevention airbags are worn around the waist and will inflate if you start to fall.

Personally I think they’re on to something.

I spend a lot of time worrying about my parents falling and now, I’m beginning to worry about future falls I make take. As we know, falls for the elderly are one of the most serious health problems they face and many end up in nursing homes after they have had a serious fall.

My predictions are that the Japanese will perfect the wearable airbags in the future and may even come up with something very miniature you can wear that won’t be noticeable.

I suffer from ostiogenesis imperfecta( brittle bones)and I have had more than 30 fructures. I have been thinking about an automatic half umbrella attached to a belt that would open up automatically if one fallas forward,or backwards. However I am not able to find some one with the know how, but the umbrella already exists
