Can We Really Find Out How Long We Will Live?
By admin on Mar 25, 2008 in Health

Is there a simple way to know your true age and how long you are most likely to live?
Yes, according to Bryant Stamford, professor and chairman of the department of exercise science at Hanover College.
In fact, Dr. Stamford, along with a growing number of scientists, now think true aging can be traced back to something as simple as walking around the block for thirty minutes everyday.
That’s because simple exercise such as walking can increase the length of your telomeres.
Telomeres are located on the ends of your chromosomes and scientists believe they contain the information breakthrough of long you will actually live.
Shorter telomeres-you’re older biologically and you have more wear and tear on your body
Longer telomeres- you’re younger biologically and you have less wear and tear on your body.
