Can Exercise Give You the Fountain of Youth?

fountain of youth? With all the health care bill debate going on, it’s refreshing to read an article stating the U.S. has many centenarians (people over 100) and will be expecting many more after 2050.

That’s good news for those of us over fifty.

The article also states “exercise-your fountain of youth.”

You need to receive at least 2.5 hours of moderate-intensity exercise per week.

I really agree with that.

I have been working in my yard a lot more than usual this summer because we have had so much rain.  (It’s a blessing after several years of drought).

At first, I thought it was going to kill me, and I really worried how I would get it all done.

Surprisingly, as I reach September, I’m feeling great.  I’m sleeping more soundly (slept through several hours of thunderstorms the other night) and I have more energy.

Is there a lesson here?

Yes.  I’ve got to find a new way to exercise this winter because my yard won’t need my care any more.
