The Sandwich Generation: what is the real definition?
Actually, there are several. Here are some of the terms some of us are painfully learning first hand.
We may find ourselves in one of these categories: traditional sandwich, club sandwich, or open faced.
Here is some excellent advice, no matter which category of sandwich you find yourself in.
Don't take over your aging parent's life totally. Allow that parent do all he or she can for as long as possible. This is important emotionally. Gradually help as your parent needs it.
