The 10 Most Famous Centenarians
By admin on Dec 26, 2008 in Family
Who are the world’s most famous centenarians on record?
How have they lived so long?
Amazingly, several on the list are French, Japanese, and American centenarians.
A universal secret is diet, which is a good lesson for the rest of us who would like to live to ripe old ages.
One of my favorites is also one of the most famous centenarians in the group;Jeanne Calment of Arles, France (1875-1997)
My middle name is Jeanne (Jean)also but everyone always mispronouces it.
Jeanne met Vincent Van Gogh, one of my most fav artists.
Apparently, she didn’t like him, describing him as “dirty, badly dressed and disagreeable.”
Each noted centenarian’s life is very interesting, which brings up another important point.
We need to get our parents’ histories documented while we have the time so that future generations will have it.
Often, we don’t realize how important this is until it is too late.
