Because of the recession boomers not only have their aging parents to care for, but also many have adult children who have moved back home.
The statistics are staggering with 44 percent of women in the 45 to 56 age group have at least one parent living with them plus children to care for.
This is huge because the pressure on the sandwich generation is greater than ever. Other problems are that aging parents are outliving their savings and boomers’ savings and investments have been devalued.
