Elderly Care Robots?

Elderly care robots seem to be the next big thing in caregiving. Are we ready?
Should we use them?

Yes.

Of course, these robots can never replace human beings, but they are proving to be valuable in taking care of mundane tasks. They can also keep an eye on the elderly.

My main argument for them is if they can help elderly people stay in their homes longer, they are certainly worth a try.

However, are we treading into new territory unprepared?

For example, what if the robots do not perform correctly and fail in their duties? Can they be sued?
