What we now know is that a gene that promotes brain memory has been identified. The mice with Alzheimer’s symptoms in the trials are showing improvement.
The not-so-good news is that a drug for people may still be a decade away. That won’t be soon enough for some of our aging parents but it may help some of us if it indeed works.
