A Swim-On Part in the Goldfish Bowl Stirs Controvery
By admin on Aug 29, 2008 in Family
There’s plenty of controversy surrounding the new book about Lady Thatcher, A Swim-On Part in the Goldfish Bowl, which was written by her daughter, Carol Thatcher.
Many people are wondering should Carol Thatcher have written the frank, almost too-revealing expose’ about her mother’s dementia?
(It is thought by some experts that Lady Thatcher’s condition was originally caused by some small strokes which she suffered a few years ago.)
But facing dementia and Alzheimer’s is painful enough for everyone involved. I don’t think it really helps for family members to write books that tell everything about their loved ones’ conditions.
Some details are better left in the drawer.
Which brings us back to the question should Carol have written the book at all?
