Adult daughters have more difficulty caregiving than adult sons, mainly because women do most of the work taking care of the elderly.

A recent Canadian study simply states what many of us have known all along. The daily grind of care giving for aging parents is not easy and relationships with those parents can become strained as you take on the role of mothering them.

Meanwhile, your brother lets you handle most of the work because, after all, you’re doing such a good job and he has his regular job and responsibilities, right?

This is one of the biggest issues of caregiving because a lot of resentment can weigh down the relationships.

The debate is going on about the cat’s ability and if animals can sense something we can’t. Many people believe they can.

Here are some of the articles about Oscar, the cat.

“Oscar, the death-predicting cat. If there’s one little creature who you don’t want to see when you’re sick, it’s Oscar the cat. The kitty became famous a couple years ago when doctors discovered he had an uncanny ability to predict when …”Doctor Writes Book about Cat who can Predict Death | LimeLife

“Dr David Dosa, a geriatrician and assistant professor at Brown University, said that five years of records showed Oscar rarely erring, sometimes proving medical staff at the New England nursing home wrong in their predictions over which “…Cat predicts 50 deaths in RI nursing home

“Oscar/: The cat that can predict death. OSCAR: The Strange Cat that Predicts Death. Osacar was born in 2005. He is a part of Steere House Nursing and. Rehabilitation center in Rhode Island.
Are cellphones dangerous? Or is that a lot of hype? Still, I don't like them and here's one of my reasons why...

Are cellphone dangerous, or are the warnings a lot of hype?

This controversy has been going on for several years now and we’re still wondering if cellphones give off enough radiation to put us and our children in danger.

The jury is still out.

And the jury may be out for a long time.

Should we be concerned?

Six countries are now trying to curtail too much useage by children.

Those countries include France, Germany and Israel.

Here’s another point I observed this morning while picking up my paper.

I saw a person walking by my driveway fumbling with a cellphone.

Not unusual.

Something struck me as odd.

The phone gave her a reason not to have to interact with me.

I now think one of the reasons a lot of people use cellphones in public a lot is because the phones are good crutches. They don’t have to interact with others, make eye contact, or speak to strangers while on the phone.

The phone gives them a certain degree of security.

Cellphones might even be replacing cigarettes as something people used to hold, just to have something to hold. I honestly used to think that was the reason why some people found smoking attractive.

Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe I’m making too much out of it.

Maybe younger people especially, want you to hear their phone conversations. Why? Who knows?

I still like to conduct my conversations privately, but maybe I’m old fashioned.

I don’t want a perfect stranger to know there’s a problem with the trash pick-up or we need to get the brakes fixed, etc.

Which brings us back to the danger of cellphones, if the danger exists.

I’ve chosen to be safe because I don’t like cellphones.

There, I’ve said it. I’ve never liked them, really.

I use mine seldomly.

Read Cellphone radiation levels vary widely, report says
