What Will Your Care Giving Memories Be?
By admin on May 15, 2009 in Care
Gail McConnon of Celebrate Aging Parents blog has a powerful post about care giving memories.
“When I think back to the years of caring for my mother, you’ll never guess what I most remember. Laughing, “Gail writes.
She goes on to talk about those painful things we all have to deal with in our caregiving such as “anger, regrets, fear, and tears”.
Does all this hit a nerve with most of us?
Gail also tackles the solution of how to get through the difficult challenges of care giving for the elderly.

Just leaving my care giving for a break. Sister is taking over and I’ll remember the wonderful talks in bed my mom and I had. Her back hurt, she wasn’t tired so we would just lie in bed and recall all our fun travels together and growing up stories. Fantastic!

Dear Vera,
Thanks for sharing. To me that’s what it is all about. Remembering the fun times and concentrating on the rich relationships we have had with our parents
