Released Felons Finding Employment as Caregivers

Should all caregivers be required to get a permit?

Yes, according to some California elder advocates.  That’s because convicted felons have been discovered caring for unsuspecting seniors.

How?

According to distrubing reports, some California state parole officers are advising ex-convicts that caregiving is an easy profession to get into.

Why?

Because a lot of people  don’t do background checks.

That needs to change.
