Here’s a warning about using too much dental cream.

A Florida woman is claiming she became poisoned with zinc after using large amounts of Fixodent Denture Cream.

She is suing Procter & Gamble.

Is there a connection between zinc poisoning and denture creams?

What is being revealed in this case is that the woman used large amounts of Fixodent because her dentures did not fit properly.

Fixodent should be used according to instructions on the box, and the manufacturer claims it is safe in small amounts.

If your aging parent is using too much denture cream, you need to find out what’s going on. She, or he, is probably using too much because of ill- fitting dentures. The creams were not designed to take care of such problems. You need to take your parent back to the dentist.
