New Exciting Computer Programs for Enhancing Seniors' Quality of Life

What if there was an easy program to help aging seniors remember to take medications?

How about their own personal technology coach which can take complicated tasks and break them down step by step?

Computer scientists and human factor coaches  at Georgia Tech have created  two very important programs which may unleash the power to help seniors stay independent much  longer.

The Technology Coach   can help with such tasks as checking glucose levels and watch over the aging senior to make sure she is doing it correctly.

It can also provide a visual screen, working off of radio frequency bar codes, that can help  seniors  keep track of which medications have been taken.

And the  is the ultimate in home monitoring.

It can keep watch over the senior, noticing how active the person has been and watching for patterns which may indicate illness.

This will help family members to get a clearer idea on when they should check on the senior in person.

But will seniors accept such elaborate home monitoring?

"Yes," according to Dr. Wendy Rodgers of  Georgia Tech , " as long as they know who is doing the monitoring."

Not only will these programs have the potential to help increase the quality of life for the aging population, but I think they can help  us all.

I want to be one of the first in line for the Technology Coach.
