Do Older People Really Need as Much Sleep?

U.S. News and World Report is reporting older people may not need as much sleep after all.

Older people may not need as much sleep after all.

New studies are showing there might be legitimate reasons why older people tend to sleep less than younger people.

Older people don’t exert as much energy as younger people so they don’t need to sleep as much to make up for it.

Does this mean senior insomnia may not really be insomnia?  Do older people actually need as many sleep medications as originally thought to help them sleep?
