Single Mom Tells Her Caregiving Story

Catherine Wilson, a single mom, tells how she cares for her 80 -year-old mom and two teen-aged children.

Catherine's story is one of determination and sacrifice.

And she is refreshingly honest…

"You juggle a lot of balls and to be honest, you drop them," Catherine says in an interview.

"You really can't do it all. It takes a long time to accept that and to understand that.

You miss things.

One of the things that suffer a lot is missing the events with my kids."

Sound familiar?

Are you going through similar difficult caregiving times?

Write us and share your story.  We're looking for caregivers we can write about- because we're all in this together.

Yah it's tough trying to take care of an aging parent, I know that first hand. Social security isn't enough to cover the bills so I send my dear old mom $150 a week for spending money. I wish I could send more but that's as much as I can afford! It's really put's a lot of pressure and weight on my shoulders.
