New Website Proves Aging Can Be Fulfilling
By admin on Jun 27, 2008 in Health
We’ve discovered a new website from Elder Magazine. It’s Eldr.com and it’s certainly different.
Their attitude particularly impresses me because they are ‘celebrating aging’ rather than treating every one’s senior years like some kind of disease we all have to experience if we live long enough.
Some of eldr.com’s features prove hitting 50 and beyond isn’t quite what it used to be for our parents and grandparents. I don’t see a single article on knitting here.
Instead such features as Wilderness Walking:Safety Tips, and Hiking the High Country are prominent along with a photo gallery: Gray is Groovy.
Okay, maybe groovy is a little shopworn but we instantly know to whom they are speaking. Was it only yesterday when the Beatles arrived in America?
And the message is clear. You can enjoy your senior years. There’s a lot to love, experience and discover for people over 50, 60 and 70. In fact, you almost really need to be over 50 in order to have the well grounded life necessary to take you to the next level.
But I especially like “Mad as H___”. It’s a feature seeking justice for abused seniors. As you know, that’s one of my passions.
