Caregivers Need to Rant
By admin on Jun 6, 2008 in Care
Rana, from the blog, Notes From an Eclectic Mind, has a moving and eloquent vent about caregiving I think we’d all be interested in.
She’s caring for her elderly friend who has been ill for six years, and she talks about the little difficulties that can take a toll on you emotionally, physically and spiritually.
She calls it her "siege mentality" and she is pointing out something very important.
"Caregivers need to rant."
Amen.
Rana’s rant is one of the best written ones I’ve read in a long time, and many caregivers can relate to it.

Thanks for the kind words and linkage, but as a point of clarification, R. is not my mother, but rather an elderly friend with whom I live and for whom I act as caregiver.
