These are great activities. As an acitivity director I know how important and valuable it is for seniors with dementia to revisit and document the long term memories that they do still have. Not only does it validate their life journey and supply caregivers with a reference of who they are caring for, it also provides family members with information to help them visit their loved one when their memory is fading.

A life story book, journal, scrap book or photograph album with captions is a wonderful thing to create with an elder. And Cherished Memories--The Story of My Life is a wonderful example of such a product that can help both elders and their caregiver.
